Wet Sulfuric Acid Process Equipment
Through years of project implementation, the company has developed integrated system engineering and equipment manufacturing capabilities for wet sulfuric acid applications. Under suitable feed-gas compositions, process configurations, and operating conditions, such systems can achieve sulfur conversion efficiencies of more than 99.8%. They can be configured to treat industrial off-gases containing approximately 0.5% to 15% sulfur-containing components, with a maximum treatment capacity of up to 300,000 m³/h for a single system, depending on project requirements. The concentration of recovered sulfuric acid can remain above 98%, while pollutant concentrations in treated off-gas can be controlled below 50 mg/Nm³ under applicable design and operating conditions, supporting compliance with relevant emission requirements.

Chenway’s wet sulfuric acid equipment and engineering services are applied in non-ferrous metallurgy, coal chemical, petrochemical, steel and coking, fine chemical, and other industries. In China, the company has completed more than 60 turnkey EPC projects involving wet sulfuric acid and sulfur-containing gas treatment systems. According to the company’s project records, the combined industrial off-gas treatment capacity of these projects exceeds 50 million m³/h, with an annual recovered sulfuric acid production capacity of more than 3 million tonnes. The cumulative reduction in sulfur dioxide emissions associated with these projects has exceeded 2 million tonnes.
