Description

The internal piping system of the WSA Acid Mist Control Unit (MCU) consists of process piping, connection components, and distribution assemblies used to transport and distribute process media within the unit. The piping system conveys a metered flow from the silicon-containing particle generation section to the mixer and subsequently introduces it into the WSA process gas stream. The mixer is installed in the pipeline between the converter and the WSA condenser.

During cooling and condensation, the presence of silicon-containing particles promotes the formation of larger sulfuric acid droplets. This improves condensation efficiency and helps reduce the carryover of fine sulfuric acid mist from the condenser with the process gas.

Pipe materials, fittings, sealing components, and connection methods are selected according to the chemical composition of the process medium, operating temperature, pressure, and the specific design requirements of the condenser and MCU system.
