1. Pickling
The purpose of pickling is to remove oxide scale and rust from the surface of hot-rolled steel strip. During hot rolling, a hard oxide layer forms on the steel surface and must be removed before subsequent high-quality cold rolling.
2. Continuous Cold Rolling
After pickling, the cleaned steel strip is continuously rolled at room temperature to the required thickness. This process produces cold-rolled coils with high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface quality for applications such as automotive panels and household appliances.
3. Acid Solution Heater
Acid Solution Heater for Pickling Process
The heater is used to heat the acid solution in pickling tanks, typically hydrochloric acid (HCl), in order to accelerate the pickling reaction and improve oxide-scale removal efficiency.
4. Working Principle
Equipment Type: Immersion-type tubular heat exchanger
Heating Medium: Steam
Heat Transfer Process: Hot steam flows through the heat-exchange tubes, while the acid solution surrounds the outside of the tubes. Heat is transferred through the tube walls, heating the acid solution and maintaining the optimum reaction temperature. For hydrochloric acid pickling, the operating temperature is typically around 70–90°C, depending on the specific process conditions.
