PTFE rods are manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The material is resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents, and other aggressive chemicals. It also offers excellent heat resistance, a very low coefficient of friction, outstanding electrical insulation, and non-stick properties.
PTFE rods are suitable for machining and are commonly used to manufacture bushings, seals, guides, support components, insulators, and other custom parts.

Depending on the operating conditions, either virgin PTFE rods or filled PTFE rods may be used, with fillers such as glass fiber, graphite, carbon fiber, or molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂). Material grade and dimensions are selected according to the specific application and project requirements.
